报告人简介：
Robert J. Johnston博士是美国克拉克大学经济学院教授，George Perkins Marsh Institute主任。长期以来主要从事自然资源价值评估、生态系统服务功能、效益转移、选择模型（choice modeling）、海洋及水栖动植物生态系统管理、土地保护等方面的研究。
主持或参加了NOAA/Sea Grant Connecticut Sea Grant (CTSG) Biennial Omnibus、Rhode Island Sea Grant College Program、Multistate Research Project: Benefits and Costs of Natural Resources Policies Affecting Public and Private Lands等60余项科研课题，近年来在自然资源经济方面的科研经费累计1亿余美元。
Robert J. Johnston教授先后在Environmental and Resource Economics, Ecological Economics, Agricultural and Resource Economics Review, Land Economics等国际著名学术期刊发表相关学术论文80余篇；参与编写Economic Analysis for Ecosystem Based Management: Applications to Marine and Coastal Environments、Economic Analysis for Ecosystem-Based Management: An Introduction、Economics and Contemporary Land Use Policy: Development and Conservation at the Rural-Urban Fringe等10部著作。
Robert J. Johnston博士曾先后担任American Journal of Agricultural Economics(AJAE)、 Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics (JARE)、 Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM)、Agricultural and Resource Economics Review (ARER)、Journal of the American Water Resources Association (JAWRA)等20余种学术期刊的审稿人。同时，他兼任美国东北农业和资源经济学协会主席、美国国家科学院委员、缅因州海湾地区海洋科学理事会会员、农业资源经济评论编辑、海洋资源经济基金副主席等社会职务。
