Good Habit Developed from Daily Practice and Persistence
From: CIE Student Affairs Office      By: Li Yuhong      Date: 2019-04-28

The first day of April officially marks the launch of CIE activity of Micropower-Driven Habit Plan. All CIE students were highly engaged in the movement, getting onto the train of mircopower heading for the destination of good habit cultivation. The purpose of this activity is to enable everyone to monitor and encourage each other through group activities, and gradually develop good learning and living habits, while forming a healthy, positive and strict self-discipline atmosphere in the college. The vitality of the spring day blends well with the vigorousness of the CIE students, showing a beautiful picture of this spring.

The plan consists of three parts: morning exercise, extensive reading and handwriting practice. In the first session, students are encouraged to get up to the sunrise and doing morning exercise like running, rope-jumping, playing basketball, kicking shutter-cock and dancing. Nothing can be more lovely than doing sports while enjoy the fresh morning air and the pleasant smell of plants.  The second session serves to help the students kick off the predigested or undigested reading habit, but inspire them to read intensively and pick up the habit of excerpting and reflecting. And the last session, handwriting practice, can have them calm down and be more concentrated on doing one thing at a time.

This activity is so well-prepared by the CIE Student Union that it soon gained greatly popularity among the students and achieves a great success. Co-encouragement between the peers not only improved their own qualities, but also formed their good habits. In addition, as a student-organized activity, its success reflects students' "self-organization, self-management, and self-service" concepts, and shows the youthful style of contemporary college students. It is expected that the good habits developed during the 21-day activity will accompany students throughout their lives and be helpful for their future.
