The Plant Identification Contest was held on May 19th by CIE in the Youren College garden. This activity is to consolidate the freshman’s knowledge in general biology. By integrating the on-class lecture and after-class practice, the students’ interest in plant identification get further enhanced.

Holding the photos of different plants, the students set out their journey of searching corresponding plants in the garden, which marks the beginning of the interesting contest. As soon as their arrival at the right spot, the students in no time finished their group task and received the new clue for the next destination. Round and round of searching, brainstorming and collecting finally took the contestants to the terminal. Challenging as the contest was, the abundant knowledge, quick mind and team spirit reduced the difficult questions to exciting games.

With the strong support and full preparation of all sides, the activity ended with a happy note. The big winner goes to all the participants who have gained knowledge as well as joys. They also showed their love to study and confidence in competition, which paved a clear way for their final exam. Wish them all good luck and get the satisfactory marks.
