As one of the world-class intangible culture heritages, the 24 solar terms are not only precious as the splendid civilization, but also symbols of the diligence and intelligence of Chinese people. The Winter Solstice is one of the 24 solar terms, which falls on December 22nd. On the very day, 6 departments of CIE Working Committee of Youth League Committee organized the “We Go” activity to mark the traditional festival. This practice was designed to release the students’ pressure and enrich their college life. In addition, the students were expected to enhance the relationship with their fellows through the communication during the celebration. The greatest significance then goes to the activity’s role in carrying forward the traditional Chinese folk culture.

Initiating with the offline activity of Morning Check and online activity conducted with Yiban Apps, the celebration started days ahead as warming up session. A series of games were then conducted on that day and pushed the celebration to the climax --- "crazy 15 seconds", "word challenge", "knowledge of the Winter Solstice", "swinging for health", "singing out your minds" and "the mysterious tongue twisters". Gifts and dumpling tickets had been prepared for the attendees. Following the games was dumpling party in cafe at Youren College. How nice the smell of dumplings was, how tasty the food was, how happy the students were and how wonderful the day was!

Then, I have felt the charms of traditional cuisine and enjoyed the atmosphere of traditional festivals. Moreover, I have learned about the traditional culture about the Winter Solstice."

The culture needs inheriting and the sentiments need molding. CIE has always been dedicated to the construction of the ethical education of the students. Eating dumplings for the Winter Solstice is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. This activity not only brought happiness, but also a chance to learn traditional education to the students. They will definitely serve as inheritors for the prospect of Chinese culture.
