The reception of new students have already been put into agenda long before the start of new term. This is one of the greatest annual events of CIE, and of the most profound occasion to the new comers. All CIE faculty are highly engaged in this activity.

First, series of meetings on the deployment of reception work have been held orderly. Faculty of Student Affairs Office, form teachers, form teacher assistants and members of Student Union and Working Committee of CIE Youth League are assigned clear-cut division of work respectively. There are in all 12 experienced form teacher who are from different colleges and 11 assistants to to-manage the class affairs and students affairs.

As long as the list of enrolled students released, CIE set out this year’s special visits--- to the homes of new CIEers. The student instructor Wang Ruopan carefully selected the being visited family and made respective plans for the visits. The teachers who took the mission will introduce to the parents NWAFU, the majors offered and the cultivation plan. The information is of great help for the new members of CIE to know about their majors and make study plan. In addition, the financial aid projects of national or university level are clearly interpreted to the family in need. And we also seek for student parents’ opinions of student management, services and education.

The new media platform are strategically applied for the reception, as the QQ group and E-class set up for the instant communication between new students and CIE. As to the WeChat public platform, several columns like “words from the senior students” and “introduction to student clubs and associations” are set up and run well. The roll up banners read the introduction to CIE, the cultivation model , the speciality of Youren College, the form teachers and the form teacher assistant. There is also a small gift for the new CIEers --- T-shirt with the logo of CIE on. All these endeavors made by the preparation team is only for helping the students adapt to this new family.
