Super Brain comes to CIE! To consolidate students knowledge of science and technology, the Super Brain like contest was held on March 9th. This activity aims to improve the students creativity and sense of innovation.

The contest was run as a round robin match. The contestants were required to give right answer to each question until they failed to. Their scores came from the total number of their answers. The questions were put into four different categories --- biology, physics, chemistry and science, from which in turn the students pick their own questions randomly. This way of competition can guarantee the comprehensiveness and the popularization of the knowledge.

The uniqueness of the match drew the attention of many students who were soon fully absorbed in reflecting and working out answers as they came to each quiz board.

Zhao Yiting, a student of CIE biotechnology class 1802 said, “This way of contest is so new and so amazing to me. I am so enjoyable in answering the questions. Though it’s a challenge to my critical thinking and expression ability, I enjoy it so much as I found the close relation between daily life trifles and the textbook knowledge on physics and chemistry.”

As shown by the results, the best scores reached to 65 points. It is evident that there are so many talents on sci-tech in CIE.

The success of this contest is a great practice of publicizing and popularizing sci-tech knowledge. When it helps to raise students’ aware of pursuing truth, it also manifests their brilliance and excellence in learning and practicing.
