To familiarize the students with academic research at NWAFU and have them be exposed to leading professors, our college held the lab tour for the Y2018 students from November 19th - 26th.

Different from previous tours, this year’s was completely organized by the students of senior year grade, who introduced the research orientation, the projects ongoing and the experimental apparatus. The visitors had a rough idea of experiment direction, operation procedures and dos and don’ts in the laboratories.

The event also allows ample time for Q&A session. The students cherish this opportunity to meet face-to-face with the senior year grade students. The questioners actively spoke out their doubts, and the receivers were patient and responsive to offer answers. The vivid and detailed explanations soon eliminate the confusion of the freshmen.

Through the thorough exchange, the freshmen found out their own interests in research. They also shared their feelings and thoughts with peers. With the blueprint for the future gradually taking shape, and like-minded partners around you, the road ahead to success will be wider and brighter.

“ I benefited greatly from this tour. It occurs to me that scientific research is actually as close as daily affairs to me. I can’t wait to join them”, Wei Xinfang, a freshmen said.

The activity stimulated the students' interest in scientific experiments, helped the students to further understand the research platforms of our university and the research achievement of the academic mentors. It also has broadened the horizons of the students, and help them set clear goals timely for their future study.
