On February 28th, CIE organized the students to watch the movie Operation Red Sea at Wanda Cinema, hoping to help the students understand the outstanding demeanour of the Chinese Navy and improve their fighting spirit in the new semester with the patriotism included in the movie.
The movie is based on the real case of evacuation from Yemen, depicting a series of stories of the Chinese Navy Jiaolong Assault Team during the hostage rescue operation in Ihwea.
“We are PLA Navy. We will take you home!” The navy’s uniform military salute to the heroically sacrificed comrades and the flying Five-Starred Red Flag on the screen deeply touched the student audience. Everyone in the move hall felt their sense of mission advocated by the Belt and Road Initiative and was inspired by the patriotic enthusiasm.
CIE student counsellor Miao Yuyang said, “Beat the swords into ploughshares. Fight for the people. When the life and poverty security of the people is threatened overseas, the Navy step forward bravely for every citizen’s safety. Such mood is running through the movie.” Cao Xinyuan from Biotech 1703 said, “The soldiers are men of flesh and blood, just like us, but facing danger, it is they who protect us with their perspiration, blood, and even life. It is because of their efforts that we can enjoy peace at home. Although we cannot fight in the battlefield, we can do our part and make contribution to the country.”
This movie not only allowed the students to experience the Navy’s sacrifice and how hard-earned the peaceful environment is but also raised their sense of historical responsibility and patriotic consciousness.
