To better promote the construction of dorm culture, CIE held the first dorm heads meeting on the evening of September 27th in N8323 classroom. The attendees included dorm heads of y2016 and y2017 students and general affairs managers of each class, gathering to learn new college regulations.

At the very beginning, the meeting assistants handed out the related regulations to the audience and explained the documents in details. When it comes to floor cleanness, personal stuff placement and air quality, the organizers emphasized punishment mechanism and urged the dorm heads to fulfill their roles in creating positive and harmonious climate. Since there were some slight changes in timetable of inspection work, the organize reminded the dorm heads to inform their roommates. All these practices will serve to improve students sense of discipline and maintain healthful routine.      

In addition, Song Quanquan made supplementary explanation concerning the rules of college activity center and stressed the disciplines of self-study classrooms, appealing the users to love and protect the facilities in the rooms. 

Wang Xing from Bio-technology Class 163 said, “ Discipline is more than a rule to follow, which in some degree means significantly in maintaining environment comfortable for students’ development. This meeting is so informative and well organized that all our misunderstandings have been corrected. As head of our dorm, I will inform my roommates the information I learn from the meeting to make our room more cozy and tidy.”

The meeting aims at guiding the students in learning college regulations and enhance students sense of responsibility and discipline. It is believed that CIE will make more achievements in cultural construction with joint efforts of CIEers.
