On the evening of October 29th, the Halloween-themed activity was launched at Youren College. To enrich the campus life and further the students’ understanding of foreign cultures, the activity was designed a composition of making Jack-O-Lantern, painting masks and running with florescence light.
First, CIE invited the students of NWAFU Seal Cutting Club to teach making lanterns out of pumpkins. With little cute pumpkins in one hand and a cutting knife in another, the students started their exploration of this new skill and foreign culture. Later, the plain masks were also soon turned to lovely or scary faces in the hands of the skillful students.
Then came the most jubilant part ---flash running! With the facial masks on, the students set out from Youren College, then to No. 3 teaching building and No. 8 teaching building, and finished the running back to the starting line. All the comments on the activity were compliments, “ To run with friends in the lovely evening is a great way of work-out in relieving ourselves from tensed study and enhancing the communication with peers. Win-win solution! “ Student Wang Qifan shared the experience, “ It greatly expanded our views and familiarize us with foreign cultures. In addition, flash running help us to relieve from the pressure of study. Health is the fundamental factor for happy life and study. “
