“ Today is the 18th day of our morning exercise program!”
“Yep, I feel so energetic now. It would be great if we could stick to this good habit.”
These remarks are from two Micro-power club members who persist with vigor in doing their desirable business.
To have the students take good advantage of their spare time for developing personal hobbies and interest, Micro-power club was established and launched by Youren College. With over one month practice, tens of members have got into good habits in study and life.
Four sub-clubs are available, which are morning exercise group whose members pitch in running and aerobics in early mornings, excerpt group whose members focus on making extracts from Chinese classic literature works to share with their peers, calligraphy group is for learning and practicing Chinese calligraphy and brush-painting while reading group for developing good habit of reading. All clubs are open to any students.
The Club is an unit completely organized and managed by students only. It is a manifestation of student-organized, student-managed and student-centered model. It is also an exploration in formative education promoted by Youren College. Gathering the support of their peers, the students themselves work unitedly for full-scale personal development. It is also a place where they find their self-esteem, friendship and their potential.
