The 3rd Academic Mini-Seminar of CIE was held in classroom N8103 on the afternoon of June 30th. Associated professor Li Houhua from College of Landscape Architecture and Art was invited. This activity aims at improving the students independence in learning and facilitating the communication in academic research, therefore, to improve their research proficiency via summarizing and reflecting on the experience.
Prof. Li distinguished the scientific research and academy research. He pointed out that the former represents the certain research topic and break-through expected, while the latter focuses on the learning of methods and existing findings for new discovery. Then, the students took their turns to share the learning results and experience. Each presentation, inventive and inspiring, mirrored new spark of ideas. At the Q&A session, the seminar was pushed to a new high.
The seminar was a great success which is to pave the way for students going further in scientific and academic research. It has greatly kindled the students’ enthusiasm in scientific research and academic research.
