We are ready!

Spring is where the quality time of whole year starts with！Therefore, CIE organized series of activities to encourage the students to explore the nature and discover the beauty of life. Lead by CIE village officer assistants, CIE volunteer team then came to Beiyang village where they joined the tree-planting with the young children of local kindergarten. It was a piece of wonderful experience that they applied the knowledge in textbook into real life and enjoyed the fun in practice.

Making Sign Board

Guided by the CIE volunteer students, all little children there were organized into two groups and started making sign boards with pictures and words on.

Cultivating the Land and Watering for Love!

Having all sign board set up, they continued to work on weeding in the field. Either the tough weather or the inexperience in farm work couldn’t stop them from working. Stretches of farmland were cultivated with the joint efforts of the students and the little children, as trees were then planted there and flowered were seeded. The earth was dressed with a colorful coat!

Rewarding Visit!

Happy farming!

Looking at the result of their work, the students and little children put on happy look on their faces. To guarantee the flourish of all seeds planted, they decided to meet regularly so as to take care of the seedlings and record the growth with words and pictures.

How lovely the experience was! The college students walk out of the campus and move their eyes from textbook to society, which to some extend encourages them to identify themselves and raise their sense of responsibility as a member of social community.
