To intrigue the students in learning English and improve their spoken English, CIE held the second English Play Contest in the South Hall of Xiushan Center on north campus. The foreign teacher John was invited as one of the judges. Over 100 attendees, including CIE Secretaries of Youth League Committee, students’ instructors and CIE students, were present at the great evening.

An English song from student Li Ziyou of Bio-tech class 1503 raised the curtain of the evening in the applause of all audience. The event was a contest among 6 candidate groups, which were the Croods, Five Peas from a Pod, The Social Network, Snow While, Cinderella and The Bus. The audience enjoyed themselves in this feast of English plays.  

Then The Bus took the crown of that evening. John awarded the prized to all the candidates. It is spoken highly by the students that the contest was a great stimuli in learning English in a new way.
