To familiarize the students with current situation of support education in remote area of China and to promote the national campaigns of volunteer teachers and village head assistants, CIE held meeting in science workshop at Youren College. On the evening of March 30th, volunteers from CIE and College of Economics and Management gathered together to talk over the Weekend Tutorials of support education.

The meeting commenced as the village head assistants of Shuaijia village and Beiyang village reported briefly the current situation. Then all students present their ideas of how to conduct and practice the weekend tutorials. They share their designs in teaching content of English, literature, science and other subjects, associated with student-centered class activities. 

This gathering furthers the students’ understanding of support teaching, therefore lays solid foundation for the following teaching practice. And new model of Weekend Tutorials has been sorted out--- One Week, One Teacher and One Topic. It is believed that the new way of teaching will broaden the children’s vision, inspire them in life and study, and then helps them to build upright life values and develops their sense of citizenship.
