| On the morning of March 11, 2012, Professor Li Shiqing and Professor Liu Tongxian respectively gave wonderful reports in the college multimedia classroom, to our college students of grade 2010.
Professor Li, with great passion, introduced the research conducted by the research group he works for. Their research, presided by several academicians, have made great progress in the regulation of erosion environment and sci-tech applied to dryland agriculture, the experiment of which is made on loess plateau. In particular, the research in the Cultivation of High Yield & High Efficiency of Spring Corns in Dryland Area conducted by Professor Li and other two professors are fruitful and outstanding.
Then, Professor Li Tongxian gave a report on Entomology and Entomologist: An Amateur, A Professional and A Life Time. Though he spoke in Shandong dialect, he made the speech witty but impressive. First, he shared some personal experience with the students and then came to focus on his research in entomology. His speech was so informative and inviting that all students were absorbed in the world of entomology he portrayed and learned much professional knowledge.
This report serves to inform the students of grade 2010 of much disciplinary knowledge, and provided the students with instructive suggestion for their disciplinary selection as well.
