The university announced the result of 2012 summer educational social practice on September 18th, and three service teams from our college were honourably rewarded. Yan’an Ganquan Team with Industrial and Technological Support won the second prize, and "Taibai High Mountain Vegetable" Social Investigation Team and Huoditang Rare Plants Protection Volunteer Service Team were given the third prize respectively.

Overall, 66 teams attended this year's summer social practice and 6 were from our college, which set the record in our history. Team members investigated deeply into the practice base and the surrounding villages. Various forms, for example, field survey, questionnaire, typical visit, were adopted. By using their acquisitions from the campus, team members carefully analysed their survey content, and at the same time communicated actively with the technicians of the base, as well as with the university's professors and experts. The result of their practice benefited the local agricultural production and development, and fulfilled the purpose of learning, loving, and serving agricultural undertaking. Their efforts were highly praised by the local government and peasants, and eventually earned themselves remarkable achievement of one second prize and two third prizes. Particularly, "Taibai High Mountain Vegetable" Social Investigation Team got the attention from the Yangling Television.

Social practice is aimed at educating students and nurturing contributive elites for the society from the practice at the base. Hopefully, in the future social practice, more students can be involved, and more theories applied in the reality.
