Students of our college took advantage of the winter holiday for study instead of for celebrating festivals.  Over 100 students were engaged in doing experiments and research in the labs, and over 10 students of Bio-Science major took part in the second phase learning of Wageningen University Honour Students Program, while some students worked to the investigation and propaganda in rural area and feeder schools of A&F.

It was the best choice to study in the winter vocation, as proved by over 100 students majoring in Bio-engineering, Bio-technology, Animal Science, Veterinary, Food Science, Horticulture or Forestry.  Wang Feng, a student of Bio-tech class 111, inhabiting in Shandong province, spent his entire holiday in the laboratory for the experiments. His hard-working helps him to win the recognition and compliment from his fellow sisters and brothers.   Carefulness in observation, spoken curiosity to the peers and perseverance in practice contributed greatly to the improvement of his research ability. His experience in making good use of holiday to conduct research also mirrored the desirable life of all other students of our college,

From January 30th –February 6th, 11 students of our colleges studied in college multi-media classroom and finished the second phase of learning of Wageningen University Honour Students Programme.  Though their holiday time shrinked, the students enjoyed the fruits of enriching professional knowledge, gaining experience of foreign education and hearing the advanced academic sound.

The students involved in the work placement conducted survey of school and hometown surroundings before or after holiday. During the holiday, Qi Yulin and Wang Yong from Bio-tech Base class 111 went to Jiajiayan Village of Guo County in Baoji City of Shaanxi Province for a survey on crops planted. They are working to categorize the collected datum and preparing a proposal for the organization concerned.

No pains, no gains. The holiday turns out to be an opportunity of learning and a promise of descent future.
