To better students’ understanding of cultivation model of CIE and to make sure their study plan feasible and practical, college Associate Dean Mr. Wang Jun gave a report on 30TH August in classroom N8208, to the 124 students of Y2013 Base Class, themed on educational philosophy of CIE, while college secretary of students’ affairs Wang Bo was present as the host.

Mr. Wang commenced his speech with groups of pictures to illustrate the history and development of CIE, and gave a detailed and humor-styled introduction to entrance education of CIE. Then he focused his report on the college cultivation subjectives, ability cultivation system, mentor system, student-centered selective courses system, selection and redistribution system, undergraduates scientific innovation activities and international cooperation and communication programme. He explained the students with examples some possible problems as well his suggestions in the application of undergraduates’ innovative experiment projects, self-conducted experiments and overseas study.   

Witty and expressive speech of Mr. Wang greatly benefited the students that it will help them to make feasible study plans, to fulfill their academic dream and scientific research dream.
