To encourage the students more involved in sports exercise in spare time, CIE, College of Enology and Department of Foreign Languages co-held freshmen sports meeting on the morning of Nov 10th. Secretary of CIE students’ affairs office Wang Bo and secretary of CIE Youth League Committee, secretary of Enology College Youth League Committee Zeng Cuiyan and secretary of Department of Foreign Languages Caoji Qianrui were present at the meeting.

There were field and track events like 100-meter, 200-meter running, high-jump and long-jump, and group event like rope-jumping, which greatly arouse the enthusiasm of the students. On the sports day, CIE freshmen athletes performed outstandingly and won great prizes for our colleges. Bio-engineering base class 131, bio-technology base class 131 and bio-science base class 131 won men’s team 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, and bio-engineering base class 132 won women’s team 3rd prize as bio-science experiment class 131 won High Morality Prize. Championship of 11 events, inclusive Men’s 100-meter running and 1500-meter running, Women’s long-jump and discus all went to CIE students.   

The co-held freshmen sports meeting was not only a stage on which the striving and persevering spirits of CIE students was demonstrated, but also an opportunity for college communication, for which promoted the friendship between the students and united the whole class. The students are encouraged from the events to further their understanding of help, co-operation and perseverance and to form good habits of life and study.
