To promote the psychological health education, and to improve the staff’s ability to cope with the common psychological problems that have been annoying students, Youren College organized the training lecture on the afternoon of 16th May in building 17. The college counsellors and form teachers of Youren College all attended the lecture.

The lecture was given by Miss Jin Hua of A&F Psychological Support Centre, focusing on the problems of communication between the teachers and the students and students’ family. She pointed out that both the family and university are expected to shoulder the responsibility of solving the potential psychological problems of the students, proposing the philosophy of Parents-centred & Teachers-supported Model. The lecture was illustrated with many typical cases and the most efficient solutions. After the meeting, CIE Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Qu Yunfeng explained the academic tracking system and briefed the students’ affairs and events of the next half term.

The trainee teachers showed their great appreciation to the lecture and Miss Jin Hua. It was such an inspiring lecture which will help to improve the staff’s ability to cope with the psychological health problems of the students.
