To help the children of Yangling welfare house and sun village to survive this freezing winter, Warm Their Hearts charity book sales was organized by Youren College from 7th -10th November. Over hundred students were involved in this charity activity.

The college volunteers made great contribution to the preparation of this activity, who collected the donated books dorm by dorm and grouped the book categorically. The book sales was held on the small square of western district on north campus. A continuous stream of students came to buy the books. When all the books were sold out, the volunteers checked the income and made detailed accounts which were later shown publicly at college. It has been reported that 300 donated books were sold 363.5 RMB. Now the volunteers were making budget for the purchase of gloves and scarves for the welfare house.

This activity guaranteed the full preparation for the donation of materials to welfare house and find best new homes for the books. In this cold winter, this charity sale warmed the atmosphere of campus as well as the hearts of young children in need, manifesting the students’ concern over social affairs and their responsibility to public welfare.
