The results of Y2014 CIE students essay campaign sponsored by CIE Youth League Committee was revealed the other day. The students were very responsive to the call of the activity, who submitted over 50 essays.

The students were encouraged to express their feeling of college life and their pursuit of dreams. The essays mostly were themed on Chinese Dream, A&F Dream and Youren College Dream,, which witnessed students’s passion at our university, their love to college life, their hopes of promising future and their determination of overcoming difficulties on the way to success. “ Tough as the journey to glory is, it can never stop my pursuit for knowledge, for the hope has always been my Pharos on the sea”, said Shanggao Maohan from Bio-technology base class 142 in his essay.

The first prize goes to The Tough Journey to Glory of student Shanggao Maohan, while the second prize to Walking on the Cablestone Road of student Li Mengyuan and At Our First Sight of student Wang Shuyu. The Fruitful Youren College of A&F of student Shen Ting and Looking Back and Ahead of student Liu Sijia won the third prizes.

This activity was design to encourage the students to be goal-oriented, determined, persistent and diligent, which also furthered their understanding of A&F and Youren College, demonstrated their outstanding literacy and inspired their reflection of college life.
