| Mr. Ma Bolin Conducted Organic Chemistry Class
On the morning of May 12, Mr. Ma Bolin gave a lesson on organic chemistry in classroom N8118. All students of grade 2010 majoring in Life Science present enjoyed the opening teaching conducted by Mr. Ma who combined the traditional information output approach with the science and technology-based teaching aids.
First, the teacher confronted the students with several questions focusing on the definition and classification of amine. Then he invited some students to present their background concerning amine, commencing the study of new lesson. To illustrate the new knowledge, like the properties of amine and the theory and methods in indentifying amines of different varieties, Mr. Ma who applied PPT as well as blackboard writing to open teaching, also confronted the students with inspiring questions and allow them to offer answers in leisure way, which greatly motivate their initiative and enthusiasm. The students were responsive to those questions and were absorbed in the class activities. As the atmosphere livened up, both parties of open teaching gained much from this course. Last, the teacher informed the students of the assignment.
With the aids of advanced teaching facilities and methods, the class was more than informative and illustrative. The open teaching, to great extend, drew the attention of students and made the class more stimulating. Joint class as it was, it remained ordered in lively atmosphere. The full-prepared teaching and teacher’s overall understanding of students study background both attributed to the complete success of the class. Students obtained a good professional knowledge while have their initiative stimulated, which meet the expected requirements.
