Advanced Mathematics Class Conducted by Mr. Li Xinyou

    On the morning of May 9, Mr. Li Xinyou gave a distinctive class in Advanced Mathematics to the students of Biotechnology class 101 &102, College of Innovation and Experiment. To better conduct the open teaching class, Mr. Li made it student-centered who asked the students to practice the teaching on their own.

    Well-prepared for the knowledge in the unit of Multiple Integral, students,  in line with the requirements of Mr. Li, who were invited to demonstrate their course of working out exercises would be commented by the teacher. Having appreciated the performance of the students, teacher and other students would pose interactive questions for further analysis and discussion. A case in point was that the teacher inspired the students to work out the exercises of integration via applying the integral parity and symmetry as an alternative to traditional methods. Careful as the report students, any detail was not allowed to be missed. Audience students also showed their enthusiasm in responding to the questions raised by the teacher, which livened up the class atmosphere and got all students involved.

    It is the student who presides over the class, which makes the class distinctive. Both the preview and review work of each unit are practiced by the students alone, which enhances their understanding of the teaching contents, as well as strengthens their independent learning ability. In addition, it mobilizes the initiative of students and stimulates their interest in learning. Students got their language and expression ability improved by taking part in the teaching.
