Professor Lv conducted the open teaching class by organizing series of group discussion, multimedia-aided instruction and blackboard writing.

The lecture focuses on “The law of the unity of opposites is the fundamental law of the universe”. Initiating with questions to some students about the contradiction they confronted with in daily life, Professor Lv convey in details the definition and features of Contradiction, which was illustrated by some vivid examples. Instructed and encouraged, the students were active in reflection and discussion, who were also very expressive to voice their personal interpretation on the relationship between dominant contradiction and subordinate contradiction. Visual teaching material like a speech delivered by celebrities was also adopted, enriching the teaching content and broadening students’ horizon. Having finished the discussion about Dialectical Negation, Professor Lv summarized the discussed lesson and assigned the preview for next class.

The class was well-provided with typical instances which were vivid and life-like which livened up the class atmosphere. Students were motivated to think and discuss about the given topic actively, which mobilized students’ independence and stimulated their enthusiasm in study. Meanwhile, students acquired more knowledge in the course of discussion, averaging up their cognition level and meeting the demands in expected teaching objectives.
