Obtaining College English Test Band 6 certificate and National Computer II (C language) certificate, wearing the laurels of student synthesized evaluation and defending it for another year, winning the first prize of National college English Contest, First Prize of Professional Scholarship, third prize of Leaning Ability Scholarship, the student from College of Innovative Experiment, Xiaofen Liu, University Excellent Student as well.
The moment that Olympic Flame burning with hope and passion, she left for Northwest A&F University with dream and enthusiasm. It was the very moment that she was determined to making everyday a precious and meaningful occasion, for fulfilling her dream and self-value. The past two years leaves her satisfactory achievements she has made and significant experience she has earned. The way ahead is long; I see no ending, yet high and low I'll search with my will unbending, as she said.
No Pains, No Gains
University plays a holy role in one's life. It is the key to success, without which, one's life will turn out to be gloomy. University never means an end but a brand new start of one's academic life. Xiaofen Liu, a girl growing up in countryside are more insightful that knowledge promises a great fortune. Therefore, study always comes first in her college life. The motto that a slow sparrow should make an early start stimulates her to keep moving forward. She firmly believes that, God helps those who help themselves.
She remains enthusiastic in learning basic and professional knowledge, never getting mind off study. With full preparation and careful revision, she set her goal of being down to earth to ensure the comprehension of any learning point. Due to the knowledge in textbook being insufficient to satisfy her desire for knowledge, she takes every opportunity of reading abundant reference books for equipping herself with broader biews and makeing herself exposed to frontier knowledge and research achievement. She even put more effort in English learning by taking advantage of spare time for practice. No pains, no gains. Her persistence and perseverance guarantee her excellent performance, such as passing CET4&6 and winning first and second prize in two National College English Contest respectively. She deserves all those glory and success for her previous endeavor she had made.
Firm Blief and Warm Heart
With firm belief and loyalty to Communist Party, she submitted Party membership application the moment she entered this university. Setting high goal and working out strict disciplines to conduct her practice in life, she took side toward to the Party. In second semester, she attended the Party classes, on which she learnt more about Party systematically. She made herself equipped with knowledge and Socialist Concept of Honor and Disgrace. The study and practice of the scientific concept of development made her theoretical level be on the rise, which also enabled her to get profound comprehension to Communist Party.
Thanks to teachers' instruction and individual effort, she passed the examination and was proposed as excellent student of Party School. On July1st 2010, she was accepted by the Party as probationary Party member. She said, she would keep studying the basic knowledge of Party, establish morally sound values and outlook on the world and life, play a vanguard and exemplary role as a Party member in all-round development of morality , intelligence physique and aesthetic.
As a member of student union, she held the post of class psychological liaison and was elected director of student union psychological liaison department.
Service-oriented and responsible as she is, she devotes herself to working. With means available, she provides any opportunity for promoting communication among students. Psychological report and other activities were organized by her to raise students' awareness of importance of psychological health, to help students get fine-tuned. Tied with psychological consultation center of other colleges and that of university, the department she works in bridges the gap of communication.
In her third year at this university, she applied for the position of instructor assistant and got the permission fortunately. Sharing experience in life and study, she serves responsibly for college instructors of students affairs in the political and ideological education and management work. Her generous help help the younger students better adjust to the college life and study.
Bold Innovation with Assiduous Practice
A qualified researcher is supposed be knowledgeable, skillful and innovative. To meet all these demands, she has made her internship in laboratory ever since the first semester, through which she enhances her scientific research ability and literacy.
For careful preparation, she got the permission to conduct the college students' innovative programme titled Analysis on the Separation of Synthetic Pyrethroids Pesticides Degrading Microorganisms which was completed in September of this year and was awarded excellent programme gainning post financial support.
Meanwhile, another programme of the same importance titled Exploration in Mechanism of Action of Recombinant Baculovirus with Cross Purpose in Insect Cell Expression System she is in charge of is now in progress, which runs smoothly due to the precise preparation, careful consideration and experimental skills. Experience in the lab not only gets her theoretical knowledge consolidated, but also gets her experiment skills improved to higher level. What counts most is that she is equipped with careful, flexible, persistent and strict spirit in scientific research.
Being fully aware that social experience plays vital role in one's growth, she takes active part in any social investigation, aid education and voluntary service organized by college or university, to raise the sense of social responsibility. She is inspired to realize her social value and work harder to get herself filled.
Continuous Study and Wonderful Life
University is a filling station, at which we are filled with not only the knowledge we need, but also the experience we made in improving our abilities, Mis Liu said. To make sure herself a full-developed college student, she never fails to grasp the chance to enrich her life and improve her abilities. She can be found at the gymnastics broadcasting match, at the Tai Chi show of college sports meeting opening ceremony, at the group dancing performance and choir contest as an active role. The second prize in Campus Original Artifacts Bee is another proof of her passion in life. In addition, participation in fantastic activities organized by student unions also get her social ability and expressing ability improved a lot.
Each activity suggests an opportunity for practice and harvest, she said, " I would like to enrich my college life with effort and make it more fruitful".
Splendour dominates the past, which never puts an end of working hard. Heavy burden is still our responsibility while the road in front of us is still stretching to the distance.
As Miss Liu displays her courage and determination, she will keep moving whatever confronting her in the future, she will keep working hard and conducting herself with the high standard for making greater achievement.
